Ceger becomes the group responsible for the management of the technological support structure of DIGESTO - Integrated system for the management of judicial information, under the jurisdiction of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, interoperable with DRE (Diário da República Electrónico).

Ceger's new decree (Law-Decree no. 116-B/2006) is published, defining its new responsibilities and scope, specifically in the areas of the State System of Electronic Certification, of electronic security and certification.

A new law is published which creates the State Electronic Certification System (Law-Decree no. 116-A/2006), establishing the system of Public Keys for the State.

The Council of Ministers approves the law which creates the State Electronic Certification System, and gives the National Security Authority responsibility as the Certifying Authority

Ceger participates as member of a work group responsible for the installation process of the State Electronic Certification Entity, in conjunction with the State Secretary of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, in accord with the resolution of the Council of Ministers no. 171/2005, published in Diário da República I, B Series, no. 211, dated 3 November 2005.

A specification of the Electronic Certification for the Portuguese Government is agreed, to become fully operational in the first trimester of 2006.

Ceger starts the migration of the document management specification, making it available to the entire Government Information Network, and enabling full use of its functionality in the Intranet environment.
